Open Data Returns
Last spring, I wrote about the upcoming NC DataJam and the event was a big success. It brought innovators from across the region and local, state and federal open data together. These innovators formed teams at the NC DataJam and they set out to develop innovations around education, health and green data and compete in the upcoming DataPalooza. Last month, I got to sit in on the presentations from some of these teams as they vied for three finalists’ spots and the chance to participate in a 30 day accelerator. The teams had great passion and ideas and a number of them had made amazing progress in a very short time. The three finalists have been selected and those teams are hard at work in the incubator as they get ready to present their innovations at next week’s DataPalooza.
DataPalooza will feature their pitches and great key notes from leaders in Open Data and innovation.
